Sarah Chan — Works

As a graphic specialist in architecture, Sarah leads project teams in crafting graphic narratives in both 2D and 3D. She is currently the Senior Graphic Designer on Gensler’s firmwide marketing team.

Trained as an architect and graphic designer, Sarah utilizes both disciplines in her work as a graphic specialist. She focuses on representation and media in architecture and how narratives evolve when translated through different mediums.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design from the University of California, Davis and her Masters in Architecture from the University of Washington. In 2019, she and her research partner were awarded the Bob Hull Research Grant for their project, Constructing Media, which sought to understand how “representation is intrinsically linked with the conceptual and pragmatic realization of architecture.” She has previously taught Advanced Representation graduate courses at the University of Washington.
